Basic Life Support Course
Basic Life Support Provider Course (BLS) deals with initial assessment, identification and resuscitation of a patient in cardiac arrest. This is a 4-hour workshop with AV demonstration and hands on practice on manikins (e.g. Use of Bag valve mask, AED, CPR).Towards the end there is an assessment of every candidate on MCQ and skill stations.
On successful demonstration of required skills, the candidates are awarded a BLS certificate from AHA. Enrollment for the course should be at least 3 weeks in advance in order to receive the course material for preparation. All levels of Health care providers are eligible to undertake BLS course.
